Skills pool with eastern promise

Staffing agencies and human resourcing businesses that have problems finding highly skilled job candidates and large groups of workers may be unnecessarily losing business

Staffing agencies and human resourcing businesses that have problems finding highly skilled job candidates and large groups of workers may be unnecessarily losing business.

This is the message from Central European Staffing Ltd (CES), a specialist agency based in Kent which matches UK employer requirements with people from Poland and other Eastern European countries.

Using its network of contacts, and by arranging recruitment events in Poland and elsewhere, CES can find highly skilled individuals with qualifications that at least match their UK equivalents. This goes from construction staff with multi-skills as plumbers, electricians and plasterers to computer engineers.

At the other end of the scale some UK recruitment specialists may find it difficult to find large groups of workers to handle heavy labour, or for specific industry sectors. CES has a proven track record of finding large groups in the UK for industries such as food processing and agriculture, or in the USA, for working with the casino sector providing hundreds of experienced staff to the likes of Sands Casino in Atlantic City.

A young company in the UK, CES is hoping to copy the pattern of its success in the USA where it has been placing over 1600 people each Summer since 1999.

ìWe are talking to a range of recruitment agencies in the UK about how our approach of finding qualified and highly skilled people at competitive pay rates can fulfil their clientsí needs.

ìStaffing and recruitment specialists in the UK should note that we vet the individuals thoroughly who we offer as employees in the UK. We place them in longer term posts with employers and in this way they are dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking.

ìWe have also developed a programme of language training to match an employerís requirement for English language skills and can offer teams lead by a proficient English speaker if required,î said Agnes Wrodarczyk who runs CESís UK office in Whitstable. END
