Sitecore fills Web CMS vacancy at Totaljobs Group

Sitecore central to Totaljobs Groupís strategy for becoming UKís premier online recruiter

Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web
Content Management Systems (CMS), today announced
that its CMS platform has been selected by Totaljobs Group - the largest and fastest growing online recruitment
business in the UK -  to underpin
their strategy for becoming the UK’s leading online recruitment company.

Totaljobs Group, a part of Reed Elsevier, a FTSE 100
company, is responsible for seven of the UK’s busiest job-seeking websites.  Between them they carry over 130,000 jobs,
attract over 4 million jobseekers and handle 2.5 million applications every
month.  The prosperity of the business
relies heavily on its online web software platform being able to efficiently
process large volumes of user transactions.  Sitecore was selected after Totaljobs Group’s previous web
solution became too inefficient and cumbersome to manage.  Sitecore’s .NET heritage and rich
content management interfaces were perfectly suited to Totaljobs Group’s system
architecture and fully met their specifications in terms of scalability,
connectivity and performance.

The introduction of Sitecore’s feature-rich Web
CMS will allow Totaljobs Group to ensure content is managed by the most
appropriate parts of the business and to empower them to provide up-to-date,
high-quality job vacancy information for a discerning employment market while maintaining
a consistent brand identity across all of the group’s websites.   Users benefit from improved access
to Totaljobs Group’s valuable resources while the constant adding of engaging
new content leads to enhanced visitor browsing time and an increase in return
visits.

Nigel Sterndale, chief product
officer, Totaljobs Group, explains:

“Under the previous system, rollout of new products and
content was costly whilst the overall end-user experience was not helped by the
inconsistent look and feel of our brand identity. The advanced Web content
management
features in Sitecore will enable us to better manage
brand identity, increase user engagement and improve access to valuable
resources.

Additionally, Sitecore’s ability to keep
content separate from presentation helps us avoid development issues by
enabling non-technical staff to quickly introduce better targeted content and
provide a much more rounded and rewarding experience for our audiences,” he
added.

Laust Sondergaard, chairman, Sitecore UK, stated:

“We are delighted that Totaljobs Group selected Sitecore
to help fulfil their ambitions in the extremely competitive online recruitment
business.  Sourcing the right Web Content
Management System is vital to the future of a business like Totaljobs Group.  Our selection is no small testimony to
their confidence in Sitecore’s strategy, track record and future growth.”
