Senior appointment announced by Chartered Management Institute

Marianne Harris-Bridge has today been confirmed as the new director of employer engagement and business development at the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Marianne Harris-Bridge has today been confirmed as the new director of employer engagement and business development at the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Marianne joins the Institute from Exemplas, the business to business training and solutions company, where she was Special Projects Director and Interim Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development. In her new role, which she starts later this month, Marianne will be responsible for raising the profile of the CMI with employers.

With the focus on developing a ëtoolkití to solve employers development needs and improving customer service, Marianne will be responsible for identifying and developing a range of products for different employers. She will also conduct regular reviews of business satisfaction to ensure service level agreements are met.

Marianne has 30 years experience across a variety of sectors; she brings an array of marketing and business development knowledge and experience to the Institute. During her time at Exemplas, Marianne developed various new commercial opportunities and managed diverse projects.

Prior to her 3 years at Exemplas, Marianne was director of corporate affairs at Leicester College. In this role she led the Corporate Employer Engagement Strategy, devised and implemented new community partnership agreements and bid procedures and grew partnership income considerably. Marianne has also worked for De Montfort University, Fritzsche Dodge and Olcott Ltd and Boots.

In her new role at the Chartered Management Institute, Marianne will head an 11 strong team and report to the chief executive, Ruth Spellman OBE.

This will enable her to successfully develop our vale proposition and raise the Instituteís standing and profile with employers.

Marianne Harris-Bridge says, ìIt is important, perhaps now more than ever to provide employers with the right solutions to meet their business needs as well as providing opportunities for the exchange of best practice. We must also ensure that we are maximising all other opportunities that present themselves. The current economic climate makes this a hard task, but one that I am greatly looking forward to. I am excited about bringing my skills and experience to the Institute to help drive forward the employer offer across all sectors.
