Seminars and work placements for people interested in a job in the voluntary sector

Series of Foundation Courses for people interested in getting a job in the voluntary sector

Working For A Charity, part of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), runs a series of Foundation Courses for people interested in getting a job in the voluntary sector. The Foundation Course comprises seven full-day seminars and workshops, plus a voluntary work placement in a host charity.

The next course begins in mid-May 2005 and will be held at NCVO in Kingís Cross, London. The seminar dates are 18 and 19 May and 8, 9, 22, 23 and 29 June, from 10:00am - 4:30pm. The work placement usually runs concurrently and is for a minimum of twenty days.

Marketing and PR in the voluntary sector

Developing a Fundraising Strategy

Charitable Trust Fundraising and Company Giving

Financial Management, Governance, and the role of Volunteers

Equal Opportunities, Successful Interviews, a springboard for the future

The course fee is 795 (200 deposit to be paid on completion of the registration form), and in addition to the seminars and work placement, includes a training manual and lunch and refreshments on each seminar day.
