Following Randstadís acquisition of Select Educationís parent company, Vedior, in July 2008, Select Education has announced it is rebranding to become Randstad Education.
Peter Flannery, Managing Director of Select Education has been given additional responsibility in his new role as managing director of the Randstad Education group, comprising Select Education, Special Agent, Aret Leaders, teachanywhere.com and Supreme Education.
Flannery comments: ìThe rebranding marks an exciting new phase in the companyís development. As the worldís second largest staffing services group, Randstad is a powerful global brand commanding more than 90 percent of the global HR services market. By undertaking a transition to Randstad Education, we will be able to take advantage of this whilst continuing to offer the extensive local branch network with which the Select Education name has become synonymous.
ìFor the 15,000 schools and 10,000 teachers and support staff who call upon our services, there will be no change at a local level. However, from a global perspective, the Randstad brand will provide real competitive advantage and enable us to attract and retain the best teachers, assistants and lecturers from anywhere in the world.î
Working towards the transfer of Select Education to Randstad Education in January 2011, the leading UK and global educational staffing specialist will undergo a two year transitional period as follows:
1 April 2009 to January 2010 - Select Education soon to be Randstad Education
January 2010 to January 2011 - Randstad Education formerly Select Education
Flannery concludes: ìThe process will be managed with great care over the next 24 months to ensure a smooth transition that will bring greater opportunities for both us and our customers in the future.î
