A group of plucky volunteers from SearchFlow (www.searchflow.co.uk), the UK's largest property search information provider, recently tackled the Three Yorkshire Peaks challenge, which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and must be completed within 12 hours.
The weather was good and the spirits high when the group of 16 SearchFlow employees, business partner Karen Babington from Easier2move, and one healthy dog started the three peaks challenge in support of Demelza House charity. The training undertaken beforehand obviously paid dividends as everybody was back down safe and happy after ten hours. Sore limbs and blisters were then nurtured in a local hostelry!
It was a fantastic experience for us, a real team effort, says Judith Storr, Senior Marketing Executive, SearchFlow. We just knew that we had to finish this not just for ourselves, but also for Demelza House, who we were walking for.î
Demelza House in Kent is a residential hospice for children, the only one in the South-East. It provides hospice care for over 450 children with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. SearchFlow managed to raise 3,780 from friends, families and local business partners such as Huntress, which will go to Demelza House.
We would like to say a big Thank You to SearchFlow, says Donna Wells, Demelza House. The money will help us to support children with life-threatening and life-limiting illness and their families in our care homes.î
This charity walk is part of an ongoing comprehensive programme of support for Demelza House, a truly worthy cause in Kent, by SearchFlow. SearchFlow has become one of Kentís leading businesses and the firm recently won the prestigious South East ëEmployer of the Year' award. Charitable activity forms an important part of the team spirit and team building ethos which the Company has.
