South African job seekers today start voting for Recruitment Agencies that they feel have provided them with an excellent service while finding a job. The voting is taking place over June and July and the winner of the esteemed Awards will be announced at CareerJunctionís 4th Annual Junction Awards in August.
The Junction Awards have become a prestigious calendar event for South African Recruitment Agencies and are the only Awards that honour Agencies from the perspective of the job seeker. The voting is also incentivised and every job seeker who votes for an Agency will also automatically be entering a competition to win a powerful Lenovo Thinkpad laptop worth over R10,000, sponsored by Lenovo.
ìAlthough there are other Awards that recognise achievements by Recruitment Agencies on different criteria, the Junction Awards are unique in that South Africaís job seekers cast their votes for Agencies that they felt excelled in service to them. Finding a job can be a challenging and often disheartening process, and so it is crucial that Recruitment Agencies give an excellent service, not only to their clients but to their potential candidates.î says Kris Jarzebowski, CEO of CareerJunction.
CareerJunction, a Johnnic Communications Company, is an online career service that brings candidates and Recruiters together, offering a host of innovative services to both sides of the recruitment spectrum. Recruitment Agencies are able to advertise their positions on the website as well as to search the database of searchable rsums. Career seekers create and update their online rsum, search and set up job alerts for their perfect position as well as track their applications online. Career seekers have the choice of whether they want to be searchable by Agencies or to only use their online rsum to apply for jobs. CareerJunction has over 700,000 registered CareerSeekers with over 400,000 of them opting to have their rsums as searchable.
For the second year running, the 2007 Junction Awards is brought to CareerJunctionís 720 Recruitment Agencies, in association with the Sowetan and Sunday World newspapers. The combination of readership of these two top newspapers is over 2.5 million.
ìWe are proud to be associated with this prominent event that celebrates the services of top Recruitment Agencies to South African job seekers. The Sowetan and Sunday World are newspapers which strive to bring the most up to date news and features to our loyal readership. An important component of our readersí lives is job satisfaction and finding jobs they enjoy. We therefore take great pride in commending Recruitment Agencies that provide not just a good, but a great service to job seekers to help them through the trying task of finding a job,î says Bongani Keswa, Publisher of the Sowetan and Sunday World newspapers.
The winners of the 2006 Junction Awards were Kelly, Quest Flexible Staffing Solutions and Abantu Resources. The voting for the 2007 Junction Awards is open between 1 June and 31 July 2007.
