Niche job board publisher, 247recruit, launched a new video site for resort workers at the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show in London last week.
Complimenting their well established season workers job site Resortwork.co.uk, Resortwork.TV features a wide range of videos for the resort worker community. Visitors to the site can view everything from fly on the wall job profiles to unofficial resort guides andlive web cams.
Visitors to the Resortwork stand at the Ski Show were able to get behind the camera themselves and record their own experiences for the benefit of other resort workers. The Resortwork Team created a mini film studio at the back oftheir stand so they could film on the spot interviews with resort workers and employers.
Matt Rogers, 247recruit General Manager, explains why they launched the site:
The purpose of our Resortwork Video Zone is to give potential new resort workers a better idea of what itís really like to work a winter season. We saw the Ski Show as the best place to launch the site and also a great opportunityto record more footage with resort workers. Video is the most accessible medium for people who visit our sites looking for jobs, so it makes sense for us to use this to create something that will be of real value to the resort worker community. Now that Resortwork.TV is launched we will be encouraging resort workersto upload their own videos direct from resort. ì
The Resortwork standalso featured a virtual jobs fair for anyone looking for last minute ski jobs for the 2009/10 season. Resortwork staff were on hand to offer advice and job seekers could make live online job applications through ResortWork.co.uk from state of the art internet kiosks.
