RenewablesCareers.com, the online jobs board for the green energy industry, has recorded a 70 per cent increase in worldwide traffic through the first four months of 2011.
The figures show visits escalating from 8,941 in January to 15,154 in April. The number of unique users also experienced steady growth of 63 per cent over the same period and passed 10,000 for the first time in April. New registrations to the site rose by 78 per cent, highlighting an upsurge in demand for roles within the renewable energy sector. Adding to the success, the total number of searchable CVs expanded by 38 per cent over the four month period.
In the UK there was more than a two-fold rise in the number of visits to the site; from 3,292 in January to 7,585 in April. The United States (US) experienced similar success, with an 85 per cent increase in traffic over the same period. New registrations from the US and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have grown consistently with the UAE also experiencing a 50 per cent increase in site visits.
RenewablesCareers.com has appointed Rowena Simpson as business development manager. Mrs Simpson, who previously worked for sister site OilCareers.com, now takes sole responsibility for driving RenewablesCareers.com forward.
With a background in sales and recruitment spanning more than 10 years, Mrs Simpson is looking forward to building on the success of the jobs board’s recent figures. She will also continue to use her knowledge to provide content for the blogs of both energy recruitment brands.
