Reed Business Information launches Online Jobs Service

Reed Business Information (RBI) is launching an online jobs service boasting some of the most advanced technology powering any jobs site in the UK.

Drawing on years of experience from both the Totaljobs Group - owned by RBIís parent company Reed Elsevier - and its own portfolio of market-specific recruitment jobs sites, Reed Business Information has developed a shared platform that will deliver a superior online experience for jobseekers and recruiters alike.

Launching at the end of August, the new service will power the jobs sites on Newscientist.com, Personneltoday.com, Communitycare.co.uk, Propertyjobs.co.uk (Estates Gazette), Constructionjobsuk.com, Flightglobal.com and HJi.co.uk (Hairdressers Journal).

By the end of 2007 it will also be serving jobs sites in the travel, technology, catering, optical and road transport markets.

Until now, individual RBI websites powered their own jobs sites, but with the new service serving jobs sites across all RBIís markets, each site will have the same upgrades and functionality as each other the moment they come online.



By using the jobs service, jobseekers will be able to:

- Search the latest jobs from leading employers easily and quickly

- Apply for jobs as soon as they are advertised by registering for a ëJobs By Emailí alert

- Use the Career Advice section to check out the pay, prospects, players and key talking points of their industry careers in 2007/08.

- Find out if the company they want to work for is recruiting in the Whoís Recruiting section

The new service will also benefit recruiters as they will find it easier to load jobs individually or in bulk and measure accurately the response they get to job postings.
