Recruitment firm hatches further expansion plan

Sales and Marketing employment specialists Yolk Recruitment have launched a new Contact Centre Recruitment division as the firm continues to fulfil its ambitious growth plans over the next three years

Sales and Marketing employment specialists Yolk Recruitment have launched a new Contact Centre Recruitment division as the firm continues to fulfil its ambitious growth plans over the next three years.

The Cardiff-based firm has trebled in size since it first opened its doors in January 2009 and has quickly become firmly established as the leading sales and marketing specialist recruiter in South Wales. And following their recent relocation to prestigious offices on Castle Street in the heart of the capital Yolk now have a base from which they can expand into new sectors and accommodate the staff they need to facilitate their expansion.

“Our goal is to replicate the success we have achieved as South Wales’s leading sales and marketing specialists to become recognised as the leading providers of high calibre staff for the contact centre industry,” said Duncan Powell, Co-director, Yolk Recruitment.

“The expansion into the Contact Centre sector highlights the fact that we are capitalising on our clients’ frustrations in finding a high quality recruitment partner with a strong reputation for customer service and sales and marketing experience.

“And with a team of consultants with both recruitment and contact centre experience we have a real understanding of our clients’ recruitment requirements and access to the best talent available,” he added.

Headed up by Kate Knight, who has specialised in recruitment within the contact centre field for a number of years dealing with volume and ad-hoc projects as well as onsite consultancy for Conduit and in a management capacity with the likes of Lloyds TSB, First Plus (Barclays) and Picture Financial, the new division aims to build on Kate’s extensive background within the industry and increase their already impressive portfolio of clients which now includes BT, 118118, and Yell.com, as well as prestigious regional clients such as Principality, Moorhouse Insurance and Glamorgan Telecom.

Responsible for generating over £400m for the Welsh economy each year, the contact centre industry in Wales employs around 30,000 people with South Wales having one of the largest concentrations of contact centres in the whole of the UK – second only to the Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor. As such it remains one of the leading providers of employment opportunities in the region.

Yolk Recruitment – members of the South Wales Contact Centre Forum - are already working with many of Wales’s leading contact centres in the provision of different roles, ranging from Customer Service Representatives, Sales Advisors, and Technical Help Desk Advisors to senior positions such as Team Leaders/Team Managers and Director level Interim roles.
