In June, 20 recruiting experts from Hays will climb Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, in aid of Action for Children. Scaling the mountain to a height of over 19,000 feet, each person in the Hays team is aiming to raise over £4,000 for charity, which will be doubled by Hays on completion of the challenge. Action for Children is Hays’ charity partner and one of the UK's largest children's charities working with over 156,000 children, young people and their families across the UK. The money raised from the climb will go towards Action for Children’s Neglect campaign, as this supports one of the biggest issues affecting UK children today.
Claire Fowler, Head of PR at Hays, has recently returned from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and commented: “Action for Children is an extremely worthwhile charity and they are all working hard to raise as much money as possible. I climbed Kilimanjaro at Christmas and am pleased that my colleagues will be following in my footsteps this Summer. It is incredibly challenging, but reaching the top is an amazing feeling and I wish them all the best of luck.”
