The REC today announced the appointment of Roger Tweedy as Director of Research for the Recruitment & Employment Confederation.
Roger has been brought in to set up the industryís first ever research unit which will become a central hub generating robust industry data for the use of core partners and the industry at large.
Commenting on his appointment Roger Tweedy says ìHaving worked for a recruitment agency I know that there is very little research undertaken in comparison with the size and turnover of the industry. It is critical that the industry monitors its economic growth so that we can both collectively and individually strengthen our roots and strategically plan for the futureî.

Roger began his business career as the Research Manager for Denplan. He stayed with the company, in a number of marketing management roles, as it grew to become the generic name for dental health plans in the UK. After Denplan was acquired by AXA PPP healthcare, Roger accepted a new Group role working closely with the CEO to provide strategic research, analysis and communications support. Roger joined Blue Arrow in 2001 to as Head of Communications and Planning. In 2002 he was given responsibility for Marketing and launched itís award-winning diversity programme.
