The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is encouraging its members to give support to Comic Relief through its new initiative One Day Deal which has been designed exclusively for recruitment consultants.
To participate in the One Day Deal, consultants can donate proceeds from one of their placements which in turn could help change someoneís life forever.
Already, REC member Square One has signed up to the One Day Deal. Its Chief Executive Director Dave Pye explained: ìSquare One actively supports Comic Relief, not only as part of our CSR policy, but also as a valued client.
ìAs recruiters, placing professionals in the right role changes peopleís lives creating direct parallels with what Comic Relief does. It is an inspiration to us all and that is why we are happy to recommend its One Day Deal initiative this year.î
Anita Holbrow, the RECís Director of Marketing and Member Services, added: ìEven in these gloomy times, we should never forget those countless others whose lives are blighted with hardship not just during an economic downturn but year in, year out.
ìWe would certainly endorse Square Oneís support of this new One Day Deal and hope as many members as possible will choose to become involved in this excellent
scheme.î
