Real Radio launches real jobs web portal in partnership with Search.co.uk

.

Search.co.uk has sealed an exclusive deal with Real Radio, Scotlandís no.1 commercial radio station, to launch ìReal Jobsî; a new jobs portal on the Real Radio website which will bring vacancies across Scotland to the attention of Real Radioís 700,000 weekly listeners, as well as visitors to the website.

This is the second partnership agreement announced by search.co.uk in as many weeks, following its acquisition of the leading highlands and islands job site hijobs.co.uk in late July.

Billy Anderson, MD of Real radio commented, ìThis partnership allows us to create an instant jobs resource for our listeners and to widen our offering to include first class career vacancies across the whole spectrum of the Scottish population that we serve. Itís something we have wanted to do for some time and the link with search.co.uk means we hit the ground running when the site officially launched this week (Monday, August 17th).î

The Real Jobs website, www.realradio.co.uk/jobs , will provide access to around 1,500 Scottish employer vacancies across a wide range of industry sectors. The vacancies will also be promoted on-air via a ëReal Jobsí feature.

Peter Gillespie, MD of search.co.uk said, ìI am obviously delighted to confirm this deal with Real Radio and a new partnership approach that provides benefits for both of us. Having only launched at the start of this year, I believe Search.co.ukís operating model represents a new approach to recruitment advertising, using technology to deliver uniquely effective result for recruiters and job seekers.î

ìAs an ambitious, new company we are always looking to make alliances and acquisitions to grow our business in the right way. Last weekís announcement of our expansion into the Highlands and islands via the acquisition of ëHijobs.co.ukí, and this weekís deal with Scotlandís no.1 commercial radio station, across central Scotland, clearly demonstrate our ambition and plans to grow our business and give the Scottish recruitment market a shake.î

Real Radio has more than 700,000 regular listeners and Real Radio Scotlandís website enjoys an average of 60,000* unique users on average each month. This population will be added to the 850,000 active job seekers search.co.uk can already reach across the UK, to expand the offering to jobseekers and recruiters in Scotland through ëReal Jobsí.
