Blue Octopus, a no nonsense recruitment business, launched at the start of 2010 in Yorkshire, has expanded its operation and has appointed four more outstanding professionals to look after a increasing portfolio of clients.


Turnover in the first quarter for this new business had doubled its anticipated target, and has also been voted No 4 in the jobsite.co.uk Recruitrank Top 10, a leading site for job seekers, launched in 1995. And the company is already in the planning stage to move to larger offices to accommodate this rapid growth.


Run by Chris Coleman, together with his brother Liam, both from Otley, and products of Prince Henry’s Grammar School, the pair is determined to give companies a rapid, intelligent and sensible way of recruitment without the need to involve conventional methods. Its state of the art Engage technology enables clients to track their own recruitment 24/7, catch up on candidate profiles and score them against their original criteria.


The fledgling company has now set up Blue Octopus Software Solutions LLP and appointed Talvinder Nagra along with his brother Sandeep to run the new division. The second set of brothers will continue to develop and maintain the internal sales and support systems within Blue Octopus. It will also continue to refine the Engage recruitment systems for clients concerned in both high and low volumes of recruitment, and provide design and implementation of integrated careers websites.

A further two new recruits bring the Blue Octopus team to eight. Angela Bradshaw as Service Proposal Co-ordinator previously ran her own successful recruitment agency whilst Kelsie Walton is appointed as Client Delivery Administrator.
