PSL, the assessment specialist, has joined the Association of Test Publishers (ATP), a US-based, non-profit membership body which represents providers of tests, assessment tools and related services.
As a voice for the entire testing community, the ATP promotes the ethical and effective use of testing and its benefits and value to society, said Richard Alberg, Chief Executive of PSL. Weíre delighted to have been accepted as a member of the Association, as we see this as one of the stepping stones to our international growth.
Established in 1992, the Association of Test Publishers not only champions the positive contributions that tests can provide, when professionally developed and properly used, it also promotes awareness of and compliance with laws regarding copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights.
Based in London, PSL is one of the UKís leading providers of online and paper-based personality questionnaires, ability tests and hard skills tests. The company has developed products for specific job roles - such as retail sales assistants, branch managers and customer service agents - and for specific industries, such as call- centres, financial services, leisure, retail, recruitment agencies and the public sector.
Our products greatly ease and enhance the process of recruiting and developing people, resulting in time, cost, efficiency and performance benefits for our clients, said Richard Alberg.
PSL can custom-develop instruments to meet specific requirements, from scoreable application forms for rapid, low-cost sifting, to in- depth measures to assess a personís qualities against competency frameworks.
The company also provides business simulations and training as well as specialist psychometric consultancy and advice on issues such as job analysis, the development of competency profiles, face- to-face interviewing, the creation of assessment methodologies and the design and operation of assessment and development centres.
PSLís clients include Cadbury Schweppes, Deloitte, the European Personnel Selection Office, HMV, Lloyds TSB, Siemens Business Services, Superdrug and Toyota.
