PROFILE:MATCH seminar from MISCO in Malta

Last Thursdayís PROFILE:MATCH seminar delivered at the Radisson Hotel in St Georgeís Bay and organised by MISCO, Maltaís leading knowledge organization, was attended by representatives of prominent Malta based businesses. More than 50 companies had signed up to learn more about the innovative PROFILE:MATCH HR assessment system. The two-hour presentation was made by Geoff Trickey, Managing Director at PCL ñ the company behind this ground breaking HR assessment system.

At the press conference that followed, Geoff Trickey highlighted the benefits of the PROFILE:MATCH approach to applicant assessment and the emphasis on work place competencies. ìTaking their lead from major global organisations, todayís businesses focus on the competencies required to be effective in the job. Their interviews and other assessment practices are competency based ñ as are their appraisal systems. Psychometric technology has to align itself with these developments and PROFILE:MATCH is the first fully automated system to achieve thisî.

PROFILE:MATCH is an open, menu driven, online system which allows the user to select the competencies that they are looking for in prospective employees. PROFILE:MATCH then creates a psychometric questionnaire tailored to these requirements. All the user then has to do is to forward an email to applicants with instructions about how to access the online questionnaire. PROFILE:MATCH reports are then delivered to the userís inbox.

ìPsychometric technology is now over 100 years oldî, says Geoff Trickey, ìbut the days of paper and pencil, one-on-one assessment are long gone.
