PR and marketing firm delivers social media advice in the City

Some of the Citys leading recruitment companies were among the audience at Media Matters latest presentation on Internet Marketing and Social Media in London

Some of the City’s leading recruitment companies were among the audience at Media Matters’ latest presentation on Internet Marketing and Social Media in London.

PR and marketing company, based at Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, was invited to guest present at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s (REC) headquarters in Welbeck Street, London.

The delegates included national members from across the office professionals sector, including many of the top City companies who provide recruitment services direct into the Houses of Parliament.

REC chief executive Kevin Green and the confederation’s external lobbying consultants were among the other speakers.

Media Matters’ online specialist Karen McNulty delivered the presentation. She said: “We were delighted to be asked to present. Like most professions, there are some within the recruitment industry who are using online marketing and social media to engage with their wider audience and others who have yet to consider it.

“By highlighting some of the most effective tools currently available and how to maximise their use, we gave delegates plenty of food for thought. Feedback was positive and everyone recognised the fact that while social media isn’t the single solution to future marketing strategies, it does need to form a fundamental part of it.”

Media Matters recently staged its own Internet marketing seminar in Peterborough, attended by 50 regional businesses. The PR and marketing company runs local workshops on Internet marketing and social media. Its next session on May 27th is ‘Internet Marketing – the Basics’ at £120 per delegate.
