Portable OHS and Employment Inductions for Recruiters: WorkPro to be launched at RCSA luncheon

A next generation employment induction solution, designed to efficiently aggregate candidate and worker information, as well as streamline the employment compliance process, will be launched on 25 July at an RCSA luncheon in Melbourne.

WorkPro is a centralised system, which will quickly enable organisations to verify candidate and employee information, as well as provide free on-line learning for candidates and workers. It also provides for portability of inductions across the employment services industry.

ìThe RCSA is very pleased to support such an exciting and innovative product. WorkPro has been developed as a result of persistent demand from RCSA Members who may benefit from a fast and efficient solution to induction, particularly where the assessment score is permanently stored for future verification.

ìThe launch of WorkPro is perfectly timed in a market where we continue to face extreme client demand and a heightened focus on workplace regulation and compliance,î said Julie Mills, CEO of the RCSA.

WorkPro is an internet-based induction system, which delivers on-line induction modules, and stores a range of information within a secure central system.

ìFor the first time, recruiters and employers will be able to confirm and verify an individualís ëwork readinessí, and deliver, manage and track generic inductions, along with site-specific induction and training in a central system, and at the same time, feel confident they are meeting their compliance requirements,î said Ms Mills.

WorkPro is hosted on secure, dedicated servers, with access to an individualís information protected by a password unique to the individual. Other features of the product include:
An expanding library of task based e-learning induction modules that will cover OHS, EEO and on-hired employment.
Automatic notification to the individual when an induction needs to be re-completed.
A centralised, permanent record of an individualís assessment results in their profile that will be portable from one employer to another.
The capacity for candidates and employees to create and update their own work profile so that information is instantly available to employers, which removes the need to duplicate information supply.

ìWorkPro will make life much easier for firms that provide on-hired workers or recruit employees in businesses where current knowledge of safety and other employment compliance obligations is absolutely crucial,î said Ms Mills.

WorkPro has been developed by Risk Solutions Australia and is an advancement on the SmartStart OHS induction CD developed some years ago.

The product is currently being tested by a small number of companies, and will be released to the market within the month. RCSA Members are offered an exclusive three month subscription-free trial.

The luncheon will also feature an address by Mr Bill Scales AO, Chair of the Australian Safety and Compensation Council.
