Pitman Training, office and IT skills provider has appointed Stan Knights as franchise director to strengthen the Pitman Training brand and generate more revenue through the opening of further UK centres. Stan is already overseeing the launch of new centres across the country, including centres in Paddington, Slough, Halifax and Hemel Hempstead.
Stan brings to Pitman Training 30 years experience as a franchise professional, having operated as a franchisor and franchise director for a number of leading companies. Heavily involved with Pronta Print in the mid 70ís for five years, Stan formed a strategic alliance to assist the company with the UK launch and rollout of its franchise operations.
Following this, Stan set up the Compupay Ltd franchise, a computer payroll company for small businesses. The late 80ís saw him take up a position as franchise director for dating agency RSVP, and then at Close Encounters (another dating agency). After a spell as franchise director for Safeclean ñ a company specialising in domestic cleaning, Stan worked as a franchise consultant for Floorcoverings International and Myhomes before joining Pitman Training.
