As employers and industries throughout the country progressively realize the value of hiring military veterans, MilitaryStars, the nationís largest military career expo company, continues its rollout of new venues throughout 2006.
Phoenix, AZ will play host to MilitaryStarsí Western Regional Career Expo on October 3rd, 2006, and regional companies from myriad industries are signing on to attend the event alongside MilitaryStarsí national contract employers.
ìWhat weíre seeing in Phoenix right now is what weíd like to be seeing throughout the country,î noted MilitaryStars President Todd Hecht. ìOur military veterans exiting the service have skills that other employable demographics cannot and will not match, and we need employers to recognize that veterans as a whole can work in any type of industry. Given the breadth of industries and mix of companies set to attend our event, Phoenix and southwest region employers realize this, and weíre looking to carry this trend nationwide throughout the rest of 2006 and into 2007.î
In Phoenix, automotive sales giant Auto Media has signed to staff three booths for multiple automotive brands at the hiring event. Logistics firm Werner Enterprises will join national-contract defense contractors Lockheed Martin and KBR-Overseas as premium sponsors for the career expo, and other companies ranging from retailer Sears Holdings Corporation to aerospace firm Sylmar Corp and tech enterprises Micron Technology and Applied Materials are registered to attend the event, consequently finding the employees they need in the military job seekers at the career expo.
