Pension auto-enrolment: recruitment industry advice workshop

Parasol chief operating officer Anita Whittle will be on the expert panel at a free workshop exploring the impact of pension auto-enrolment on the recruitment industry

Parasol chief operating officer Anita Whittle will be on the expert panel at a free workshop exploring the impact of pension auto-enrolment on the recruitment industry.

The interactive event, in association with the Institute of Recruiters (IOR) and entitled ‘Auto-enrolment pensions legislation: are you exposed?’, will focus on the risks and issues surrounding the new legislation from the perspective of recruitment agencies.

Delegates will be divided into groups to discuss the implications of auto-enrolment, and there will be a Q&A session with a panel of industry experts.

Alongside Anita on the panel will be Stephen Argent from the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) and two other experts, whose names will be announced imminently.

Earlier this month, professional employment organisation Parasol predicted that recruitment agencies employing temporary workers on a PAYE basis could face an initial set-up cost of at least £25,000 as they get to grips with auto-enrolment.

The workshop takes place on Friday, November 30 at HR Insight’s training room at Devonshire House, 60 Goswell Road, London, EC1M 7AD.

Registration is at 8.30am and the event will run from 9am to 10.30am. There is no charge but early booking is advised. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
