On May 22 2013 the launch of the next generation of the Penguin webspam algorithm was initiated and has now been finalised. Approximately 2.3% of English-US questions are affected and to a certain degree may be noticeable to a regular user.

This is the fourth Penguin-related launch Google has done, but because this is an updated algorithm (not just a data refresh), it's being referred to  as the Penguin 2.0 update.

This is a key update in the online world and in order to make sure your website remains compliant, you should be doing some thorough investigations and research in to the page content and methods of optimisation. These guidelines are set to provide better all round search quality to the Google searcher and as such Google is making it ever more clear that your site needs to be compliant, authoritative and unique in every way to compete.
