The
onrec conference and exhibition took place yesterday in London and was hailed
as a great success by exhibitors, speakers and attendees. A top range of
speakers took to the stage to discuss the latest developments within the online
recruitment industry, from social media, to the legalities of recruiting online
to the BSI standard.
Tom
Clancy, Lead Recruiter, eBay Classifieds spoke
about how eBay have implemented social media and commented “I find the mix of
people fascinating, from all disciplines, from charities to small businesses,
to job boards, all fascinating. The crowd were all enthusiastic, and it was an
enjoyable experience”.
Lucy
Shaw, Nandos agreed saying, “Very
impressed with Tom Clancy, very useful to hear how eBay are implementing social
media that I can then take back to the recruitment team at Nandos”.
The
main sponsor was Jobsite, who also
exhibited, Felix Wetzel, Marketing Director said “it was a great day, and the
best thing was meeting so many people, amazing so many people made the trip over”.
Delegates arrived from Italy, France and the USA, Bjorn Jingberger, Vice-President of Sales from Jobrapido from
Italy also won a with a magnum of Moet & Chandon from exhibitor Daniella
Winton, Director of Sales and Marketing, Innovate CV.
Ellen Bard, Regional Manager, SHL Group commented that it was a “real
mix of presentations, a variety of terms of peoples approaches and progression
within the market place”.
