A new recruitment consultancy set to revolutionise the way employers hire staff, has been launched by a Sheffield Hallam business graduate.
The Unigrads website will give local employers access to a large database of potential candidates, and allow them to search for the most suitable student or graduate at the click of a button. Employers can even look at CVs and cross-reference them to find exactly the person theyíre looking for.
The website is being launched as part of Sheffield Hallam Universityís involvement in Enterprise Week, a nationwide initiative to promote enterprise to young people.
Unigrads creator and Sheffield Hallam business and technology degree graduate, Chris Webber, said:
ìOur service provides organisations with the benefits of a HR department without the overheads. We offer a flexible service to employers and have the ability to tailor this to meet their needs. We also offer employers the option to have a recruitment webpage created in their image so we can handle the process anonymously.
ìI had the idea five years ago when I was 18 - since then it has evolved as Iíve thought of more services we could offer. It really began to take shape while I was studying at Sheffield Hallam.î
The service can provide a comprehensive range of recruitment services; from single placements to building new teams. It also offers psychometric and numeric testing, attraction management campaigns, direct marketing of vacancies to candidates, client branded recruitment webpage, online vacancy management, a website job board and contract and placement year recruitment.
According to Chris:
ìWe aim to increase small and medium sized South Yorkshire organisationsí awareness of what universities have to offer them. The services are also of great use to students and graduates, as they can eliminate the hassle of filling in endless application forms for each job they apply for ñ and all free of charge.î
Unigrads is also involved with a variety professional development courses for employers of graduates in the South Yorkshire area. These are tailored programmes of training and support, which are of benefit to both the employer and graduate as it is free of charge and allows graduate employees to reach their full potential.
