Global Radio 1.com which claims to be the internet's fastest growing radio station is to offer free advertising to the Recruitment Industry. The station broadcasts to 33 different countries ( including China) out of a data centre in the USA is looking to act as an additional channel to bring candidates and and recruiters together in three weekly 60 minute shows to air at lunch time. Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a two hour special on Sunday evenings. The station has been broadcasting 3 years boasts 20 presenters from 4 different countries.
Its best known presenters are Richard J Hannah who has a parallel career as a Senior Delivery Executive in the IT Industry, spent 6 years with Capgemini as well as stints at BP and The Law Society. Former BBC TV presenters Michael Groth and Adrian Mills , for ten years household names with Esther Rantzen on TV Cult series 'That's Life' present the AM Show at weekends.
Hannah will present the initial shows told us - Its still tough out there for Contractors and permanent staff. We have a lot of potential candidates listening to us , former colleagues and customers. In 2011 we become two channels one dedicated to music and the Under 30s, the other to a 'Radio 2 like mix of music, business and chat, we thought this would be a beneficial use of the extra air time gained by splitting the content and we hope the industry will take advantage. The station has a page on its web site dedicated to recruiters that want to advertise. Its a simple matter of completing an online form and on a first come first serve basis the job ads will be read out in a show that will be a mix of ads and easy listening music. There will be interviews with industry figures and hints and tips on CV writing and interviewing technique.
