Office Addicts - Londoners Live to Work

A survey from LondonCareers.net reveals that 20% Londoners live to work

A survey from LondonCareers.net reveals that 20% Londoners live to work.

313 participants voted in the online poll, which asked whether they could be tempted away from their laptop when working from home.

A staggering 1 in 5 people claimed there would be no temptation whatsoever ñ they live to work.

In an increasingly pressured society, with heavy workloads and more responsibility, Londoners spend increasing amounts of time on laptops out-of-hours.

Over 3 million of us work from home either full-time or part-time, according to the Office for National Statistics. However, blending work and home-life with no clear boundaries to help us switch off could have worrying implications for family life.

At the other end of the spectrum, 8.4% would take an extended lunchbreak, and a free-loading 6.8% respondents would be tempted to skip work altogether & go out for the day when ìworking from homeî!
