NORAS Summer 2005 confirms growing audience for recruitment websites

The latest results for the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) Summer 2005 have confirmed the increasing popularity of online recruitment websites

NORAS, which is managed by the online recruitment specialist Enhance Media, provides in-depth information on the audiences of recruitment websites in order to help recruiters choose the most appropriate sites for their needs and to grow their confidence in choosing online as a viable channel for recruitment. This includes data on the size of the audience via independent auditing of Unique User figures by ABC ELECTRONIC, and on the profile of job seekers using the sites gathered through questionnaires served on each participating site.

Five sites participating in NORAS have chosen to update their ABC ELECTRONIC traffic figures for inclusion in the Summer 2005 results booklet, by submitting their April 2005 figures for independent auditing to industry agreed standards. Each has either maintained or increased its number of Unique Users since their last ABC ELECTRONIC audit during November 2004 as part of the last wave of the study.

www.anderselite.com - 42,252 Unique Users

www.efinancialcareers.com - 343,353 Unique Users

www.officerecruit.com - 93,459 Unique Users

www.exec-appointments.com - 118,197 Unique Users

www.inpharm.com/careers - 14,013 Unique Users

The audit for each site also confirms the number of Page Impressions generated, details of which can be found at www.abce.org.uk

The NORAS Summer 2005 results booklet ñ including the new figures ñ can now be downloaded for free from www.noras.co.uk The booklet features information on 24 online recruitment sites in total including generic sites such as fish4jobs and Total Jobs and specialist sites such as GAAPweb and doctorjob.com. Enhance Media has also made additional developments to the functionality of NORAS interactive, the online tool that allows recruiters to easily compare the audiences of job boards, which can be accessed for free at the NORAS website.

ABC ELECTRONIC has also produced a summary of all online recruitment sites that have completed an audit in the period May 2004 ñ May 2005. This can be viewed at www.abce.org.uk/links/recruitment05. The summary table has been created to provide a central resource for recruiters and advertisers, containing all independently audited data on recruitment websites.

Enhance Media and ABC ELECTRONIC are currently preparing for NORAS Winter 2006, which look set to be the biggest yet with a number of new recruitment websites signed up to the project, including AccountancyAgeJobs.com, Grocerjobs, JobsGroup.net, The Lawyer.com, Scotcareers.co.uk and tesjobs.

Tim Elkington, Managing Director at Enhance Media comments:

ìThe latest ABC ELECTRONIC figures confirm the ever growing popularity of recruitment websites amongst jobseekers, something thatís positive news for the sector as a whole. ABC ELECTRONIC certification of traffic figures means these sites, and the others participating in the next wave of NORAS are able to provide independent proof of the audiences theyíre reaching.î

Richard Foan, Managing Director of ABC ELECTRONIC comments:

ìWith so many sites taking part in NORAS, the online recruitment sector is streets ahead in its ability to provide traffic figures that can be trusted by recruiters. Having this information available, combined with the demographic information generated through NORAS, is vitally important in ensuring recruiters know which sites are most suitable for them. It is great to see a maturing industry working together to deliver trust and confidence to advertisers.î
