Business Review publisher Trinity Mirror is celebrating triumphant survey results of its Fish4Jobs recruitment platform.
National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) results show Fish4Jobs to be the UKís biggest online recruitment site.
NORAS, a study of 24 leading recruitment sites based on Audit Bureau of Circulation Electronic statistics involved surveys completed by more than 18,000 online jobseekers.
Managing director Simon Devitt said two main reasons for the success are the strong branding (Fish4Jobs is owned by four regional newspaper groups) and the increase in online recruitment among all sectors of the workforce.
Other results showed:
- The average salary of fish4jobs users is 20,000 per year
- The average age of users is 31 years old
- 59% of fish4jobs users are female
- 163,000 monthly visitors are involved in part-time employment
- Online recruitment is opening up to many more sectors than IT and media
- More than 50% of recruitment sites have widened their variety of jobs
- Online recruitment is increasingly used to complement established methods such as local newspapers which remains popular.
