New recruitment agency awards ceremony marks industry first

RecruitRank awards honour first class recruitment agencies based on candidate feedback

Jobsite, one of the UKís online recruitment websites, will be hosting its inaugural RecruitRank awards on 9 November in London. Recognising best practice and quality customer service, the RecruitRank awards are the only accolades in the industry where finalists and winners are chosen by the feedback from job candidates and not a panel of industry judges.

Launched in November 2005 with the aim of decreasing candidate job hunting frustrations and raising industry standards, RecruitRank tiers recruitment agencies based on the experiences jobseekers have when dealing with them. It allows candidates to feedback anonymously on the quality of an agencyís service after they have applied for a vacancy advertised by them on Jobsite. Recruiters have personal, private access to this essential customer feedback and it enables them to monitor and, if necessary, improve their service offering. The finalists within each category were selected through a culmination of this feedback from over 40,000 candidates in a 12 month period, with the exception of finalists for the Recruitment Advertising Award, which were judged by a panel of candidates.

RecruitRank awards include:

- Best Recruitment Agency ñ awarded on the overall impression job seekers have of the agency during the processing of their application

- Best Candidate Communication ñ awarded to the agency that excels at keeping candidates in the loop and updating them regularly

- Best Understanding of Jobseeker Needs ñ awarded to the agency that has the best understanding of what candidates want to get out of their jobs and lives

- Best Industry Knowledge ñ awarded to the agency that has excellent industry knowledge of the sector in which the candidates work and uses it to give good advice

- Best Recruitment Advertising ñ recognising the agency that has the most compelling recruitment advertising

All categories, with the exception of Best Recruitment Advertising, will have both a large and small agency winner.
