The latest independent audit of s1jobs.com has revealed that the number of visitors to the site has reached a new high. The audit conducted by ABCE confirmed that 517,533 individual job seekers used the site in January.

Mark Smith, s1 Managing Director said: ìThe impact of the economic slowdown is becoming clearer. Vacancy numbers in January were down around 30% on the previous year, although weíre seeing no further decline at the moment. Whether weíve reached the base remains to be seen, but we are very encouraged by the number of companies still recruiting via s1jobs, which in turn has attracted our biggest ever audience of job seekers.

ìTo put the traffic figure in context, half a million users is the equivalent of more than a fifth of the Scottish working population using the site in a single month.î
