New MD at specialist recruiter Poolia Parker Bridge

Lynda Pickess has been appointed the new Managing Director at specialist finance, banking, office support and HR recruitment consultants Poolia Parker Bridge which is based in Holborn, London

Lynda, formerly Sales Director at Manpower UK, brings with her over 20 years of sales, marketing and general management experience. In her six and a half years at Manpower she was responsible for developing new business, key account relations, pricing and sales strategies, and for leading strategic global sales initiatives on behalf of their global sales council.

With a professional background that predominantly features large multinational and global organisations like ING, Audi and automotive services group Inchcape, Lyndaís new role will provide the opportunity to take the reins of a smaller, expanding company and to drive its growth.

Lynda will report directly to Erik Strand, CEO of Poolia AB, the Swedish staffing group that acquired Parker Bridge as it was then known, two years ago. ìWe are very pleased to have secured Lynda Pickess as Managing Director of Poolia Parker Bridgeî, said Erik. ìShe is a highly motivated sales manager and accustomed to coaching sales organisations at both a strategic and practical level.î

Iím not a Director who sits back; I want to drive the business forward from the front seat.î

Poolia, who acquired Poolia Parker Bridge in 2004, is listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange and employs over 2000 staff. It provides recruitment services in 25 locations throughout Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany and the UK.
