The Professional Contractors Group (PCG) has appointed Iain McIlwee as Head of Commercial Development. In his new role, Iain will be responsible for the commercial expansion of the organisation, developing commercial relationships with agencies and clients to ensure best practice in their dealings with freelancers as well as devising strategies to drive up membership figures.
Prior to taking up this position, Iain was Regional Director for London at the Federation of Master Builders for two years and before that was Business Services Manager at the British Plastics Federation.
Announcing the appointment, PCG's Managing Director, John Brazier said: I am delighted to welcome Iain to PCG and am confident that his proven commercial services experience will help take our organisation forward in the best interests of our members. He has the important task of ensuring that our members are served well, by PCG, by agencies and by corporate clients who take on freelancers.
Iain McIlwee added: The organisation has clearly developed an enviable market reputation over the last ten years - it has a strong voice in Government and offers valuable advice and support to its members on micro business matters. I relish a challenge and am looking forward to talking to our members, affiliates and other parties to ensure that we are addressing everyone's needs. Iain is a graduate in Material Science and Engineering and is married with two children.
