NES Global Talent Boosts Aberdeen Team with Experienced Hire

NES Global Talent, the technical manpower specialist, is delighted to announce that experienced oil and gas consultant Isabel MacVicar has re-joined the company at its Aberdeen office

NES Global Talent, the technical manpower specialist, is delighted to announce that experienced oil and gas consultant Isabel MacVicar has re-joined the company at its Aberdeen office.

Isabel, who has 16 years’ recruitment experience, previously worked at Infinity Resources in Aberdeen. Before that, she worked at NES Global Talent for 3.5 years.

Talking about why she has re-joined NES Global Talent as senior consultant, Isabel said: “I was looking for a new challenge. I had a number of other offers but I enjoyed working with NES Global Talent previously and this was my preference when I decided it was time for a change.”

Isabel, who moved to Aberdeen in 1997 and is originally from Lochgilphead in Argyll on the West coast of Scotland, will focus on recruiting for oil and gas operators and service companies based in Aberdeen.

Speaking about the key challenges and opportunities in the oil and gas industry, Isabel said: “One of the biggest challenges in the oil and gas sector is the ageing workforce. There’s a shortage of young people coming up through the ranks with the level of experience that our clients are looking for. However, in the last few years we have seen an increased number of younger people embark on careers in oil and gas, which is encouraging.  The market in Aberdeen is very buoyant and there are lots of opportunities available.”

Craig Paterson, Associate Director at NES Global Talent, said: “There is a huge amount of competition for top recruitment talent in Aberdeen and we are delighted that Isabel has decided to re-join our company. Isabel brings years of experience and expertise to the role as well as tons of enthusiasm and drive and her appointment has further strengthened our Aberdeen office.”
