Robert Half International Launches Temps Today Advice Guide

Spokesperson available to comment on the value of temporary workers today

Robert Half International, the specialist recruitment agency, has today (1 June 2007) published a new guide, Temps Today, in preparation for National Temporary Workers Week next week (4 June ñ 8 June 2007). The guide provides useful information for both employees and employers on how to make the most of temporary assignments.

The guide is available at www.roberthalf.co.uk and shows that attitudes to work have changed, and flexibility and variety are key to job satisfaction.

Recent research by Robert Half International looked at what makes a temporary assignment fulfilling:

One in three UK temporary workers want to be included in office social occasions;

24 per cent of temporary workers value feedback during their placement.

21 per cent believe they will benefit from an induction and a clear explanation of the office systems and processes.

David Jones, Managing director of Robert Half International is available to comment:

ìThis guide highlights to employers the need to ensure that temporary workers are successfully integrated into every part of company life and that clear feedback on what they have achieved, and the processes involved in the job are essential for successful placements. In adapting the way businesses support their temporary staff the productivity of both the temporary workers and those around them may increase and allow for a more valuable and fulfilling experience to be gained from temporary work placements.î

Robert Half International publishes regular surveys which provide an insight into the motivations of UK professionals, on both temporary and permanent contracts.
