Tanaiste Mary Harney launches Monster.ieís recruitment drive

9th June 2003 sees the launch of ì Monster Jobs-4-All Dayî, an employment initiative devised by Monster.ie, Irelandís leading recruitment website.

For one day only, 9th June, employers can post their job vacancies FREE on Monster.ie who are aiming to create a potential 500 jobs for job seekers in Ireland.

The Tanaiste, Mary Harney launched the employment initiative ìMonster Jobs-4-All Dayîearlier today ,5th June, and is encouraging recruiters to post their job vacancies and job seekers to log on to find their dream job.
She is confident that this initiative will help boost employment in Ireland.

Considering the current turbulent employment climate, the Tanaiste fully supports the employment drive, hoping that the initiative will encourage both the unemployed to actively seek work and employers to avail of this
free service.

ìMonster is the global leader in online recruitment and has a great track record for bringing the best qualified candidates together with the most forward thinking employers. The Monster Jobs 4 All initiative promotes
employment, opportunity and equality all of which I feel happy to endorse.

I hope that companies and jobseekers take full advantage of this unique opportunity.î Said the Tanaiste.

The Live Register is due to release its monthly report the first week in June, and judging by the current trend in unemployment figures for the previous months, it is predicted that the figures for May will be higher
than last years.

Monster.ie will be offering free Internet access to their web site in selected Internet Cafes across the country and employers can post their current job vacancies free on that day. The job postings will remain on the site for 60 days.

Alan Townsend, MD Monster.ie commented: ìA job or a career move is a life changing experience that everyone should be able to benefit from. We hope that this initiative will create employment and opportunity for thousands of
jobseekers in Ireland. The Internet is now recognised as the key source for quality candidates by business globally. We are today offering companies in
Ireland of every size and in every location, the chance to use the Internet to improve the performance of their businessî
