New, streamlined European structure leads to two new regional appointments
Monster Worldwide Inc, the parent company of the leading global online careers property Monster, today announced two new regional appointments due to a recent company restructure that formed a new ’UK and Ireland’ region. Alan Townsend, Ireland Country Manager for Monster and TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications since 2001, has been appointed Regional Managing Director and Frances Laing joins the Company as Regional Marketing Director for the new region.
Alan will now be tasked with driving both of Monster’s Irish and UK sites to market leadership and supporting the considerable expansion in Monster’s sales effort in 2005 and beyond. Frances has an extensive marketing background, having spent six and a half years in P&O, as well as having considerable experience in the housewares and fmcg markets. Frances will be responsible for unifying the marketing campaigns of TMP, the UK’s largest recruitment advertising and communications agency, and Monster in the UK and Ireland. Alan and Frances will report to Andrew Wilkinson, UK CEO, Monster Worldwide.
As part of our efforts to simplify and streamline our European organisation, the UK and Ireland is now a new region. Consequently, we are combining resources and creating a single Monster and a single TMP business across the region for the benefit of our customers, said Andrew Wilkinson, UK CEO, Monster Worldwide. Alan and Frances’ appointments will combine the operations resources as part of that restructure and we are very happy to have them both on board to help us drive our sales goals and consolidate our position in the market through 2005 as part of this new team.
