Monster UK the online careers site and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, today announced that it now has 2.8 million CVs posted on the Monster.co.uk web site - which is 10% of the working population in the UK.
In less than a year Monster UK has more than doubled the number of CVs registered on the site, an achievement which demonstrates the increasing popularity of Monster and online recruitment. This brings the number of jobseekers who have registered for a free My Monster account to 3.2 million.
Online job seeking has grown by 76 % during the last two years alone and is now used by over 11.1 million people in the UK. Since its launch ten years ago, Monster UK has helped thousands of people find employment throughout the UK and abroad. Employers using Monster can use its sophisticated targeted CV search to accurately pinpoint the best candidates. Companies can search for potential recruits who meet very specific criteria such as people who have worked for competitors, have special qualifications, or even attended specific universities.
At the same time job seekers are able to view recommended jobs, manage applications, perform a quick search and tailor their job searches using Monster agents. Potential candidates can also access key information to help them through their career ñ from how to write the perfect CV to how to get a pay rise. They can also self assess themselves to check if they are in the right job or career, and download useful information on podcasts so they can listen to information on the move.
