Monster Offers Job Search On the Move

Innovative Mobile Technology Enables Next-generation Job Hunting

Monster UK today announces the launch of its site for mobile devices giving users access to services available on
mobile.monster.co.uk whilst they are on the move. Mobile internet users will now be able to view interactive job postings, information and advice on their mobile handheld device at their own convenience.

ìThere are more mobile phones than people in the UK which makes the handheld device a very accessible way for people to search for jobs on Monster,î commented Monster UK CEO, Rob Brouwer. ìIn the same way that broadband has increased home access to Monster, we believe that mobile phones will allow jobseekers more freedom to access Monster on the move.

Monsterís launch of the mobile site is in line with its commitment to offer personalised services to users. The UK has over 65 million mobile phone subscriptions in the UK (The Communications Report 2006, Key Points, Ofcom). Providing a mobile service gives recruiters and employers an alternative way of communicating with potential candidates when they are away from a PC or on the move.

The latest technology not only increases the level of customisation for Monster users, but it also focuses on decreasing the time and costs spent on the recruitment process through traditional methods.

Monster has future plans to extend its mobile offering by allowing recruiters and seekers to interact directly using the mobile, enabling recruiters and seekers to communicate, post jobs and find jobs at any time, even when they are away from a PC.
