Monster Names Patrick W. Manzo Vice President, Compliance and Fraud Prevention

Mr. Manzo will be responsible for managing compliance with Monster’s external policies

Monster, the global online careers and recruitment resource and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc, today announced the appointment of Patrick W. Manzo as Vice President, Compliance and Fraud Prevention.

Mr. Manzo will be responsible for managing compliance with Monster’s external policies and ensuring consumer security by preventing fraudulent use of Monster products and protecting Monster’s industry-leading resume database from unauthorized access. In this critical leadership position, Mr. Manzo will help Monster establish and maintain open lines of communication with local, state, and federal law enforcement organizations and intelligence-gathering agencies, leading to better detection, recovery and prevention of fraud.

By aggressively implementing a tri-pronged approach to Internet safety, we have significantly reduced fraudulent activity on Monster. Technology enhancements, user education and a dedicated Task Force have also helped increase overall awareness of this critical industry issue among online consumers, said Brad Baker, President, Product, Technology and Service at Monster. Patrick’s expertise and legal background will further enable us to maintain a safe environment for our users, as well as foster new and existing relationships with law enforcement organizations in an effort to prosecute offenders.

Mr. Manzo comes to Monster from Craig and Macauley Professional Corporation, where he litigated business disputes in state and federal courts. Before joining Craig and Macauley, Mr. Manzo practiced corporate law with the law firm of McDermott, Will and Emery.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Manzo served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy, where he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal twice and the Navy Achievement Medal for meritorious performance. A graduate of Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in Government with a minor in History, Mr. Manzo holds a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.
