Milkround pledges to give students and graduates career confidence

Most widely-used graduate recruitment website streamlines brand as it moves HQ

Milkround is the new identity for Milkround Online and its flagship website Milkround.com, the most wide-used graduate recruitment website for the fourth year running.*

Taking heed of the difficulties facing jobhunters, it marks the adoption of a new ethos for the recruitment brand which has mapped out a vision of “giving students and graduate career confidence”. This intention is emphasized by its fresh tagline: “careers of the highest degree”, focusing on giving its student and graduate users the information and opportunities they need to make that step into the professional world.

Milkround will now act as the core brand name and the notion of bringing employers, students and graduates closer together will lead future product development. That development will see Milkround become the career resource for the future, integrating an already productive social media presence and building on opportunities to offer users interactive and personalised services such as live Q&As with industry experts.

General Manager Jenni Joplin explained: “We listened to what school leavers right through to second jobbers wanted and the key theme was support and guidance: it’s a tough and competitive jobs market out there so we want to provide a careers resource they feel they can use at all stages of their job hunt. Part of that will always be having vacancies with the UK’s top employers advertised on site and our recruiters will get the same high level of customer service they have always got. We want to encourage our recruiters to offer as much information as possible to our users to give them a real indication of what working life will be like.”

“Our new ethos will see Milkround start to evolve from a candidate perspective first and foremost for what will be one of the most exciting and innovative periods of development we’ve embarked on.”

The changes come as Milkround also shifts in location from its Grays Inn Road home of more than four years. Milkround is moving into the News International headquarters at Thomas More Square on the edge of the Square Mile.

The new address for Milkround will be Floor 5, 2 Thomas More Square, London, E98 1PL. All telephone numbers and email addresses will remain the same, but please update address books.

Jenni added: We've been working closely with The Times for our joint, quarterly supplement Graduate Career since 2009 and linking in with News International more and more in the last 12 months. This move will cement those ties as we'll sit in the heart of NI's Commercial Team.
