MatchWork specialises in providing complete job board software solutions; designing, developing, hosting, integrating, maintaining and supporting job boards for publishers, newspapers, associations, organisations, pure players (where your job board is your only business), universities and start-ups.

Company history

MatchWork was founded in Denmark in 1996 by entrepreneurial people who saw that with the coming of the World Wide Web the market for job advertising would migrate from print to online. On 1st July 1997, MatchWork went live with its own branded job portal making us one of the first online players in the job advertisement market world-wide. The launch was an instant success and soon MatchWork started to expand into more countries and to widen the business by developing partnerships with different media companies. Again, MatchWork pioneered the delivery of job boards as an internet service long before the “over the cloud” concept.

In 2004, MatchWork’s financial position was strengthened when it was acquired by the Danish media group North Media A/S that are listed on the Danish stock exchange. North Media is a hub of various Internet and software companies and has a strong focus on knowledge sharing, innovation, SEO expertise, usability, social media and web design. In the following years substantial investment was made in product development including the launch of the Helios platform. Helios raises the bar for job board revenue streams and has the benefit of being based on advanced CMS technology and the MS FAST search engine.

In 2012 and 2013 MatchWork continued the development of the platform adding social media integration, mobile site and apps, video CV’s and various other ground breaking new features while improving the already best-in-class search and matching functionalities. MatchWork’s headquarter is located near central Copenhagen in Denmark and supplies premium job boards software to job boards in many different countries and in many different languages. With our long proven track record, premium product and continual development programme MatchWork stands strong and ready for the future.

”We are excited about sponsoring the OnRec Scandinavia conference for the third consecutive year in a row. We are particularly looking forward to the 2014 event as all recent studies have shown substantial growth rates in the number of jobs being advertised showing very positive signs for the future of online recruitment.
