The Marussia F1 Team opens up a global search for a Senior Design Engineer as part of its alliance with Monster, the worldwide leader in connecting people to job opportunities and the flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. This is the second of four global “Cool Job” opportunities and is part of wider recruitment drive to fill a variety of positions using Monster.
The new Senior Design Engineer will be based in the team’s technology centre in Banbury, England. This is a real, full-time job and a potentially life-changing opportunity for the successful candidate. With an expected start date of mid-Summer, those who are interested should apply immediately at http://company.monster.co.uk/profiles/marussia-f1-team.aspx
In addition, anyone based in Europe who would love to work with the Marussia F1 Team will be able to choose to apply for a range of different roles. Since the alliance kicked off in February, the team has already made key hires through Monster -- see some of the new hires discuss being on the team [here]. A number of other candidates sourced globally through Monster are in the final stages of selection for an aerodynamicist role.
“I must have been about eight years old when I watched my first race, and it made a huge impression on me,” remarked Chris Witt, Electronics Technician for the Marussia F1 Team and one of the team’s new recruits who applied through Monster. “From that age I was inspired to work towards being part of the industry and I’ve stayed focused on achieving that. Racing is fast, furious and adrenaline-fuelled, and I’m right at the heart of the excitement. Do I think I have a Cool Job? I think I have the best job!”
Katie Allen, Head of HR, Marussia F1 Team, noted: “We’re pleased with the results we’ve seen so far from our partnership with Monster. We’ve already received more than 1,400 applications for the various positions we are recruiting and have made a number of appointments. Tools, such as Monster’s Talent Management Suite, have helped us to quickly filter candidates and identify the very best fits. We’ve been able to cast a wide net for our search for quality talent without having to increase the size of the HR team.”
Ted Gilvar, Executive Vice President, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Monster, noted “It’s fantastic to see the range of Monster tools help an organisation like the Marussia F1 Team to find the best talent to help it move up the grid. It is truly inspiring to see how these jobs impact the lives of the successful candidates. Regardless of whether you’re a motor sports fan or not, there are countless career opportunities available on Monster that can change your life for the better.”
