Major recruiters to hunt for talent<br>at totaljobs live

.

In the current economic climate, finding talented people is an increasing challenge for businesses. This year's totaljobs live will give major recruiters access to a broad talent pool, with jobseekers looking for diverse roles in sectors ranging from local government to hospitality.
Organised by totaljobs.com, one of the UK's leading recruitment web sites, some of the country's largest employers, including NHS Careers, London
Underground and Asda will be on the hunt for talent and raising the profile of their companies among prospective employees.

As cherry-picking the best candidates is increasingly important to businesses, totaljobs live, which will be held at the Business Design Centre in London on 9 and 10 September, allows recruiters to pre-select jobseekers
they want to interview. Exhibitors have access to totaljobs.com's database of over 360,000 candidates before the event, from which they can choose the cream of the crop to interview before or during totaljobs live.

In 2002, totaljobs live attracted over 5,300 visitors over the two days of the show, all looking for work across various key UK industry sectors. The event also attracts professionals from horizontal disciplines such as HR,
marketing and customer services. Other companies currently signed up to exhibit include Corus and Regal Hotels, the Dixons Group, Woolworths, the RAF, the Teacher Training Agency, and Argos.

Commenting on last year's show, Louisa Wallington, regional recruitment advisor for Phones 4u said: We recruited around 50 sales consultants for our London stores, some in areas that had proved to be difficult to fill.

Totaljobs live proved to be an effective way to recruit for Phones 4u, and an ideal opportunity to market our brand at the same time.

Keith Robinson, chief operations director for totaljobs.com commented: Recruiters are becoming increasingly aware that they need to make the most of their attendance at recruitment fairs. Totaljobs live enables companies
to market their brand to prospective employees and meet strong, pre-selected candidates. Building upon the success of our previous events, we are confident that the calibre of both exhibitors and jobseekers at totaljobs
live 2003 will reaffirm its reputation as one of the key events in the recruitment calendar.
