Lucas Group Announces Upcoming Military Hiring Conferences

Lucas Group, an executive search firm, announced dates for upcoming Military Hiring Conferences in Alexandria, Va.; Atlanta; Dallas; Irvine, Calif.; and Norfolk, Va.

The conference dates are: Alexandria - November 17; Atlanta - December 8; Dallas - December 8; Irvine - December 8; and Norfolk - December 12.

Lucas Groupís Military Hiring Conferences are venues for companies seeking candidates with hands-on leadership and technical experience in the U.S. Military to fill immediate employment needs. Their work ethic, loyalty and mission-oriented mindset make military veterans excellent employees for companies of all sizes.

Corporations that attend meet with highly-qualified and motivated candidates that have been specifically selected for the job openings the corporations are seeking to fill. The format ensures the candidates with whom they are scheduled to meet with are qualified and interested in the opportunities.

Corporate attendance at our hiring conferences continues to rise, said Bryan Zawikowski, vice president and general manager of Lucas Groupís Military Transition division. We added four conferences to the schedule in 2006, and the number of participating companies has increased by more than 53 percent. On average, there are 40 corporations and 75-100 military veteran job-seekers at each event. The new war for talent is growing; and many companies have realized that their ability to grow is directly related to their ability to attract, develop and retain high potential employees that will become their future business leaders.
