Highlights from the Skillsmart Retail Apprenticeship Week seminar are now available to view online.

More than 80 major players in the retail sector gathered at Londonís Excel Centre for the event hosted by Theo Paphitis, Skillsmart Retailís Apprenticesí Champion, who spoke about his time as an apprentice in the 1970s and how it shaped his career.

The eight minute highlights package also features Hayley Tatum, Tescoís UK Operations Personnel Director and Therese Edmonds, Training Manager at Booths Supermarkets who both spoke passionately about how Apprenticeships are used within their businesses.

Hilary Chadwick of the National Employer Service and Skillsmart Retailís Employer Engagement Director Simon Blower, then talked about why retail employers should embrace Apprenticeships as a key tool for adding value to their businesses and existing training schemes, especially during the current recession.
