Libby Trace, the former managing director of Price Trace Hawes, has been appointed as Head of Financial Services in VMA Group’s London office. One of the industry’s best known figures, Libby brings 20 years’ recruitment experience to VMA with over 10 years at board level. She has previously handled large-scale assignments for clients including Barclays, Lloyds TSB, HSBC and RBS.
Libby will be heading a team of four sector specialists at VMA focused on identifying and building relationships with corporate communications and marketing communications professionals across all financial services sectors.
Claire Tuffin, managing director of VMA Group commented, “We are thrilled to have someone of Libby’s calibre and reputation joining us to spearhead our Financial Services practice at VMA. She is one of the industry’s most respected operators with an impressive range of high level contacts. She will drive our continued growth in the financial services sector.”
Libby Trace added, I have known VMA Group's strong reputation for many years and am extremely excited about heading their specialist financial services team. I am eager to return to the industry sector that I have enjoyed working in for so long and I am particularly looking forward to reconnecting with previous clients and candidates.
After starting her career in publishing as an advertising executive, Libby moved into recruitment in the early 90’s where she rose to PR Division Manager at Pricejamieson Group. As a result of the PR division’s demerger from Pricejamieson, she became a founding partner and managing director of Price Trace Hawes, formerly one of the leading recruitment specialists in the PR and Communications industry (the business closed in April 2009).
