Leading Organizational Group Offers Emotional Unemployment Webinar

Coach Effect webinar will help HR pros support employees who fear job loss

Coach Effect, a leading boutique provider of organizational and leadership services, announced today that it will host a webinar on how to cope with emotional unemployment, that space where people donÇt know where to turn when they have lost, or fear losing, their jobs.

The webinar, called Back in Control: Thrive with Change, will be held on Wednesday, August 12 at 1pm ET/12pm CT/10am PT. More information is available at: http://www.coacheffect.com/pages/public-speaking/103.aspx.

Jennifer Mounce, Coach Effect's founder, says the topic is important for employees and will be especially valuable to human resource professionals. HR people are in the trenches and have to support those who fear losing their jobs every day, Mounce says. Our webinar will provide them with a valuable tool and support to navigate the uncertainty that most companies face.

The concept of emotional unemployment was championed by Coach Effect associate Diane Grimard Wilson in her critically acclaimed 2005 book, Back In Control: How to Stay Sane, Productive, and Inspired in Your Career Transition -- translated into Chinese in 2006.

Wilson reports that there has been a recent renewed interest in Back in Control. She was approached by an audio book publisher after last fallÇs market turmoil and the audio version of Back in Control released this month.

There are few people today who feel secure in their work situation. This webinar can be an incredible resource for the HR team that has to cope with the emotional aspects of a downsizing, Wilson says. Many times managers are just as fearful about the furlough process as those being let go. The Coach Effect webinar will provide a critical resource.

Many people and companies are in uncharted waters right now, Mounce adds. I'm pleased to partner with Diane to provide support and we believe we can make a positive impact.
