Launch of brand new Milkround Online website

Milkround, the website was recently taken over by News International, announces new look

On 18 December Milkround.com, a graduate recruitment website, with 380,000 registered users in the UK, relaunched with a brand new look and updated layout, raising the bar again for recruitment sites.

The website was recently taken over by News International, which publishes The Times and The Sunday Times, to add to their jobs offering.

The 320,000 monthly visitors will notice an attractive, daring new colour scheme centred around distinctive icons, striking rounded box designs and a vibrant header image.

As well as the new look, there are significant layout updates, with editorial, advice and events features now arranged into busy sections, each with a main page offering a portal to the relevant content. Editorial and advice pages are spliced with job advertisements, so that employers have new platforms to reach readers with relevant jobs. Overall, the feel of the site catches the wave of the much-touted Web 2.0 usability revolution.

The relaunch comes after recent research by Milkround highlighted that only 20% of internet users find the internet ìvery effectiveî for graduate job hunting; meanwhile 32% said it was only ìsatisfactoryî, or not very effective. The remaining 48% of users said it was quite effective.

Our research also found that 80% of jobseekers use the internet as their primary source of job information.

This demonstrated that clear room existed in the graduate market for improvements in candidatesí user experience.
